Poll For You!

Well, what with everyone guessing what we will be having I thought it would be fun to add a poll here for anyone who frequents this blog....

I've Been Published!

Ok so it's just a letter I wrote... and a small one at that, but they decided to publish my letter!

I found out the other day when I went to leave for my first lamaze class... there was a package outside near the mailboxes for me... all I thought is who is this Judy person and why is she sending me a package? Then I read it a bit better and it said something about scrapbooking... I ran upstairs to drop it off and quickly open it to see if there was a letter of some sort... all I found were a bunch of 12 x 12 decorative scrapping papers, embelishments, paint pen, and a magazine... I was in a hurry so I grabbed the magazine and headed out the door to catch my bus... I started flipping and trying to remember what I sent where. See a few months ago I submitted a letter and some pages I did to a few scrapbook magazines... well, I finally got some sort of response. There on page 11 of this January 2007 issue was my letter. How excited was I? I called hubby right away to tell him but had to cut our conversation sort cuz my bus arrived.

So anyways, I was hoping it would be for one of my pages but hey... maybe next time...

So Frustrating!

So hubby and I decided off the bat we didn't want to find out the sex of baby... but man, you'd think every other Italian does find out!

Neutral (yellow, green or cream) clothes for little babies are practically non-existent - unless you want to pay 25 euros for a little sleeper or 35 euros for a cream sweater!

Everything is literally in pink or blue! So if we want to buy anything ahead of time to have washed and ready for when baby comes home, poor baby boy will be wearing pink or poor baby girl will be wearing blue! GRRR!!!! I managed to find some yellow onsies on sale in yellow and green (but the green was way hideous!).

I told G we should open up a business for just neutral clothes, there's definately a market for it here as even the expensive shops mostly stick with pink and blue too.

Well, that was my rant for today... thanks for listening.

Italy, Switzerland, Italy

Well, we did a day trip yesterday throught the mountains on our way to a place called Livigno, Switz., only to find out almost the whole way there the final road we had to take was closed. Oh well, we just kept driving and headed home. We did stop early that evening for a coffee and a bit of a walk as we were both tired of sitting in the car all day. It was awesome anyways... here's some picts...

Tanti Baci!

So I just got some crappy news about my old dog. I guess she's been sick so my ex has to have her put down tomorrow.

I mean, I'd rather her not suffer, it just sucks. She was such a good dog and such a character. I used to love it in the wintertime when she'd try to sucker anyone into letting her in the house. She do the "lift the right paw, then lift the left paw" thing. So many people fell for it and used to bug us about letting her in to stay warm. We of course were onto her! As soon as she thought you weren't looking, she'd be hopping around and playing in the snow like usual. What a little bugger! Smart hey?

Well, I guess we got to enjoy her for about 12 years, she put in a lot of time and I guess it's her time to go.

Sending you big hugs and kisses Two Socks. I'll miss you bunches!
28 Weeks!

So it's time once again to do up some more pictures... hubby and I decided to try to do "belly" shots at the same time every month. Here's one of them.

Can you belive this is a shirt I used to wear BEFORE I got pregnant? Thank God for empire waists, loose fitting cuts, and stretchy material! It actually doesn't look too bad on a pregnant body! Besides, most of my past shots were all done in pink shirts (due to a limited pregnancy wardrobe). I figured I'd try to mix up the colour a bit.

I found this layout on another scrapping website and so couldn't pass up scraplifting it for myself. So, thought I'd share....
